Meikle Barfil Farmhouse is located approximately halfway between Dumfries and the town of Castle Douglas.  It is about 10 miles from each town.

The cottage sits half a mile from the nearest public road, The Old Military Road, which runs parallel to the A75.  Access to the cottage is via a private road.

If you are travelling North, we are just 45 minutes from Gretna.  If you are travelling South, we are approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes from Glasgow, or 2 hours from Edinburgh.
